NDIS Disability Support Services — Preston, Melbourne
Your Goals, Your
Our Support.
We're a caring, family-first team based in Preston, Melbourne. We take the time to really know you — your culture, your language, your life — then build support around what matters most to you.
Our signature capacity-building program for young people aged 14–25. Using structured physical activity, group learning, and peer connection to build independence, confidence, and social skills — in Melbourne's north.
We know choosing the right support provider is one of the most important decisions you'll make. Here's what sets Farrah apart.
01
We Actually Listen
We don't assign a worker and disappear. We have real, ongoing conversations with participants and families — adjusting support as life changes.
Commitment #1
02
We Answer When You Call
No voicemail maze, no waiting days for a reply. When you need us — for urgent changes, questions, or just a check-in — a real person picks up.
Commitment #2
03
Workers Who Understand You
We deliberately match workers to participants based on culture, language, and personality — because real connection is what makes great support.
Commitment #3
"
We started Farrah because we saw families struggling to find support that actually understood them. We're not here to tick boxes — we're here to make a real difference in someone's life, every single day.

Where We Work
NDIS Support Across Melbourne's North & West
Based in Preston, we deliver NDIS support across Melbourne's northern suburbs, north-east growth corridor, and western regions. Can't see your suburb? Call us — we may still be able to help.
Yes. Farrah Disability Services is fully registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission — Provider #4050083020. All our support workers hold current NDIS Worker Screening clearances and are trained in the NDIS Practice Standards.
How quickly can you start supporting a participant?
We respond to all referrals within 48 business hours and can typically begin supports within 1–2 weeks. For urgent placements, contact us directly on 03 7051 2280 and we'll do our best to expedite onboarding.
What NDIS plan management types do you accept?
We work with all three plan types — Self-Managed, Plan-Managed, and NDIA Agency-Managed. All billing follows the current NDIS Price Guide and we provide clear itemised invoicing for plan managers.
Do you offer culturally appropriate support?
Absolutely. Cultural responsiveness is at the core of who we are. We actively work to match participants with support workers who understand their language, cultural values, and community — particularly across Melbourne's diverse multicultural northern suburbs.
What is the Elevate Youth Program and who can join?
Elevate is our signature NDIS Capacity Building group program for young people aged 14–25. Using sport, peer connection, and structured skill-building, it builds social confidence, emotional regulation, and independence. Referrals are open — learn more about the program →
Do you accept referrals from LACs, plan managers and families — not just support coordinators?
Yes. We welcome referrals from Support Coordinators, Local Area Coordinators (LACs), Plan Managers, allied health professionals, schools, hospitals, and family members. Anyone can refer — we'll work with whoever is coordinating the participant's support.
Can you provide short-notice or weekend support?
Yes. For hospital discharges we guarantee a 24–48hr intake turnaround. Weekend and after-hours coverage is available for SIL and high-intensity supports. Call 03 7051 2280 for urgent needs.
What worker-to-participant ratio do you use for high-intensity supports?
We maintain 1:1 ratios for high-intensity and complex clinical supports, with dedicated rosters built around each participant's clinical and behavioural profile. We do not double-staff shifts without clear clinical justification and participant consent.
What documentation do you provide for NDIS plan reviews?
Shift logs, goal progress notes, and incident summaries formatted for NDIS plan reviews. Reports clearly reference each participant's NDIS goals and track functional progress. Support Coordinators can request a summary report at any time by emailing info@farrahdisabilityservices.com.
